May I have...
Your choice of 7 worst pics and 3 best pics in my port, and care to *nicely* comment and critique them?
Thank you

When I was a member of ModelCoast so many years ago,I asked several of the (pro) photogs and models to do a "stay" or "go" on the pics I had posted, I also requested they be totally honest in all aspects...I found it helped me improve...others don't react so well to comments and critiques.(look at a certain forum topic here)
Do you want a real critique? or the standard "nice pic" comment?
From my POV,I like your style of photography,I love looking at the creativity of all the models(female) and photogs (with a few exceptions) on this site.

Real critique please... But don't use harsh words - I did get that at some point at the beginning of my career that's really demeaning.
Thank you in advance

I still get the harsh words regular as rain and I've been doing this for quite a while now. Then again, I feel that my skills are limited, so I'll be gentle in what I see in your portfolio. Especially as you're a hobbyist photographer, and I'm not all that.
The best images are these, IMO.
My fave is this:

I'm a sucker for both natural light window shots as well as reflective images. You've got both in this one shot and nicely done. I might edit it differently by eliminating the stray hairs and other post work, but it's a nice image overall.
I also like this glamour image from the stewardess series:

This is a pretty good glam shot, though again, I might edit it differently in post. I would caution you that wearing white gloves on white surroundings makes her hands essentially disappear, so you might want to keep that in mind. You can see this in some of the other images from the series.
I've seen other images that with a bit more work in post can be improved, and there are others that I might not be too fond of. I would advise that you don't load up on many images from the same series in a profile. Pick the best one or two for your portfolio and leave the rest out. Sometimes, less is more. You might want to monitor the POTD Contests here, as well as other sites, and look at the work of others. Try to duplicate some of the styles that you might see entered and enter yourself. It's not a bad way of gauging how others are viewing your work, but don't get down if you don't get votes on certain images you might like. I still get skunked regularly!
Best way to improve is by trying and not to take a critique personally.
regards, and welcome to MI!
Wow.. I'm... speechless. Thanks for all the great insights, especially this *noted to self*

Hi, Gloria -
Hope you don't mind if I chime in.
After looking at your work, my fo\irst impression is that you have way too many images of the same thing. In several instances, you have multiple pics of the same model, in the same clothes, in almost the same pose. I'd eliminate all this redundancy. Pic your best shot from a take and cut the rest.
The other impression I got is that in most cases - not all - your lighting seems flat and uninteresting. You obviously have some skill in lighting, as you have photos that are beautifully lit. I'd eliminate as many of these poorly lit images as possible.
I know I didn't honor your request of selecting your best and worst images, but I hope these thoughts are helpful.
Good luck!
Drew
