Top Cameras with micro focusing adjustment...

I did a quick search but thought I would just ask since I figured it would get a quicker answer.  What is the camera doing when you use this if the camera has that feature?  Also you have cameras with this feature do you like it?  How easy is it use?  I saw some mention that you have to adjust each lens and sometimes adjust per shooting. I suspect that my camera back focuses maybe because I use all older or lenses originally designed for 35mm format.

Also I would like to hear suggestions or opinions on ways to deal with this if your camera does not have the feature of micro focus adjustment. Other than having the camera checked by the manufacturer.

Thanks

I need to do this with my 50mm/1.4 (it is the most obvious with the problem since the DoF is so narrow at f1.4).

I found this article on the Pentax Forums to be useful, and will probably be ordering the LensAlign soon. http://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/len … ction.html  (I know I could put something together to do the same job, but overcoming the inertia barrier and doing that is greater than just buying one).

I appreciate the link and I will use this.  However I do not have the feature to micro focus.  Also I understand what it is used for I was just curious exactly what the adjustment is doing as far as when you use it is it making an adjustment electronically or mechanically?

That one looks good. I'll probably give it a try first. The LensAlign system is better for making sure that the alignment is perfect when performing the test. The alternative option is a lot of $$ cheaper. So if I can solve everything with the cheap one, that's an extra $75 to spend on beer.

it makes the change electronically and depending on your camera it can remember up to 50 different lenses (from what i have been told. i dont have 50 lenses or id check. lol)
