Top Old FED Lens on New Camera

I have these two FED Lens (I also have a Jupiter-11 135/4 but didn't have it with me today).

The one on the left is an Industar-61LD 55mm f/2.8 (the L meaning it has a lanthanum coating {ie: slightly radioactive}, and D meaning M39 screwmount).

The one on the right is an Industar-10 50mm f/3.5 collapsible (kinda looks like a Leica Elmar clone). These never had the "Industar" name on them.

Normally they would be on my Fed-2 body (which oddly has been CLA'd before it was sold to me many years ago, something people don't normally bother to do with the russian cameras).

And here's how the I-10 looks on the Olympus E-P3.

Two things to note bout the I-10 in this setup:
1) Don't attempt to collapse the lens, it won't collapse fully anyways, and attempting to do so would scratch up the light baffles near the sensor.
2) Before putting the lens onto the M39 adapter you have to unlock the lens out of infinity focus. Since once the fotodiox adapter is used you can't push the button down far enough to move the len's focus ring.

I was at Meijer garden again (decent place to just screw around, do a couple test shots etc), and took two pictures of this coyote statue with the lens. I used the manual focus assist on the camera's live view display to focus at the lens' widest aperture (2.8 on the I61 and 3,5 on the I10) then stopped down to 5.6 before taking the picture in aperture priority mode (Approximately 5.6 on the I10 I put it between the 4,5 and 6,3 marker).

With the exception of the shutter speed (1/500 vs 1/400) both shots are identical and were processed from raw with identical settings.

The I10 definitely got a 'hazy' look to it, but otherwise seemingly ok. I would have taken more shots but the stiff focus ring on the I61 caused the screw ring inside the adapter to slip loose. So once I got home I fixed the inside ring, then I took a tiny screw driver to the I61's focus ring (as there's 3 tiny screws) to loosen up the focusing mechanism a little bit so it didn't put so much stress on the adapter when turning. (basically I accidentally put it on too tight hoping that focusing wouldn't cause the lens to start unscrewing but as a result the mount ring came lose til I fixed it).

All in all ain't too shabby for lens I got in a 50$ kit few years ago (i.e.: Fed-2 + I10 + I61 + J11). Kind of wish I still had my Canon 50/1.8 from the Canon P I had. Though tempted to get a Jupiter-12 again but I doubt very much the rear element will fit into this camera, it barely did on my Canon P.

The Fotodiox.com adapter for the M39 screwmount was 19$ , much cheaper than the adapter (nova flex or otherwise) that you'd find on B&H. They also got other adapters like the Adaptall one I got for my Tamron 90mm f/2.8 1:1 macro. (thinking bout getting the Pentax K -> Micro-Four/Third to put my old Pentax 50/1.4 on there)
