General curiosity question
Ok, here is a question:
Are you a right or left eyed photographer. If your left eyed, are you left handed?
Personally, I am right handed, but left eyed.
Thanks,
Paul
I use either depending on the situation.
When I was doing sports work I used my left eye through the viewfinder and my right to keep track of what was going on outside the field of vision of the camera. It made it a LOT easier to catch things when they happened.
Right handed, right eyed. I don't think I can close my right eye and leave my left eye open.
-working in video for many years, I find I've developed a habit of leaving both eyes open. The right eye on view and subject and the left is open for general location awareness.
-I am generally right handed.

Right handed, left eye dominant so I use my left eye.

That ability would be nice to have!

Same. I get all discombobulated when I've tried shooting with my r/h & left-eye. I constantly open my left eye while moving about positioning myself, however. I shoot on-location 90% of the time, and luckily all the spills I've taken so far I was able to soften in time with a left-arm or butt-cheek

I use whichever eye is most convenient for a given camera position. That tends to be my right eye (which feels dominant and has better vision than the left). I am right handed.

Same
I am right handed but now left eyed. I was right eyed until my stroke. Making the switch was easy and almost instantaneous. That makes me think that eye dominance is at least in part habit.
Web Site and blog at Cafe1956.com Follow me on Twitter I'm shooting mostly film these days...
generally i can use either eye but right handed. i think alot of this stems from my military days.

Right handed. Either eye depending on camera angle with respect to body position, especially when shooting sports. Both usually both eyes open and non-viewfinder eye used to aid tracking and catch events outside of viewfinder. For more slow paced and posed or artistic work where I'm concentrating more on composition and less worried about missing some action, I tend to favor right eye and close the left.

Just like iron sights - keep both eyes open.
Right handed, right eye generally, with both eyes left open for the most part. Same when I shoot vids. With certain camera angles I sometimes use my left eye to the viewfinder.
I have been experimenting with both eyes closed and shooting in the direction I hear though! j/k
