Comp Card vs. Zed "Z" Card

Hey Roger, I know I asked this of you ages ago, but I can't find it. I think it might have been in a section of the forum that was moved/deleted with the transfer over to the new format. I think it would be a useful thread to have here, for newbs.
Can you explain the standards for a Comp Card and Zed "Z" Card? Also, what, if any, are the differences between the two?
