It all depends on their look and how versitile they are. Blue steel can only carry a model so long.

First off, there's a huge difference between an internet model and a porn star. They are not the same. There are also vast differences between those who model on the internet. There are more differences between those who are mainstream agency represented and those not making the grade. A porn star will have to have a huge presence in the internet community if she's going to be remotely successful, while the vast majority of internet models have absolutely NO presence within the adult/porn community I work within daily.

If you're asking how long an internet model remains actively working on ANY basis, the very real answer is a couple of months in most cases, if that long. Just look at the nOOb models here, on MM, OMP, and every other internet modeling site out there. Most internet wannabee models don't possess the looks or body type to become successful in "mainstream" modelling. That ordinary girl of 5'3" with average looks who has dreams of doing runway work has about as much chance as I have replacing Lebron James and play for the Miami Heat. It just ain't happening no matter how much it's their dream. If they're NOT interested in doing nude modeling, at a minimum, there is little to no market viability and they'd better have a another full time means of paying the bills. Then they can play with being a model on a part time basis.

For those who are looking to actually make a living at this such as Sabrina? Listen to what she is saying as she's "spot on".

Depends on the girl, how she keeps up her social networking, if she's represented, what her limits are, if she's doing hard drugs, does she have a suitcase pimp, hold old she is, etc. So many variables.

There are also a ton of other variables but what she's noted is completely accurate. As for what would be the average shelf life of an internet adult performer? Most are one and dones. They shoot it, hate it, and are gone forever. Others might hang around for 2-3 months. The minority, who are actually around after that 2-3 month period, have the chance to be around for quite a while to a greater or lesser extent.

The Sabrinas and Ginger Lees are in the distinct minority and pass out of working within the industry on a full time basis at times of their individual choosing and very very rarely make it into their 40's still working. Those that do go into production working behind the camera instead of being in front, as that's where the real money is and the intelligent ones learn this basic fact quickly.
