it is a tough call as the LA show has makeup forever and the Imat does not .. Last year I went to the LA show ans over all compared to the Hair shows I was not impressed. so the year I thought I would go to the Imat show in June.. Try something different.. Let me know if your going we'll hook up.. As I love your work!

Well I guess I see where you are coming from Melanie, being a Hair and Makeup Artist. Me being just a Makeup girl...and cannot do hair to save my life... (Save on my bodypaint...in that case it comes easy...just paint and gel!!! ) I can appreciate makeup only events...
I will probably go to both (I live like...2 hours away...and my husband lives (during the week and due to the economy    ) 30 min from LA and 40 min from Pasadena.
Might as well take advantage of the situation...but if I had a choice...I have to say IMATS would be it...since I do have an affinity for the more "creative" aspects of makeup.
