I wouldn't expect each individual Forum to be ordered. Perhaps the main categories set up in whichever order or show/hide along with the already available collapse/expand. Then allow the same within each main category.

If this can be done, it would also be nice if it could be implemented within the "New Posts" and "Unanswered" search page also to only show posts for specific forums. I know this can be done in the Advanced Search but you also need to input a search string and the selections aren't saved between sessions.

I can expand/collapse the main categories. I can't rearrange the order...at least I can't figure out how. There are a number of forums I most likely will never bother with so it would be nice to be able to hide them.

Basically, this would be a way to only monitor the forums a person is interested in. I looked at the subscription thing, but can't figure out how to add forums to a list. From the FAQ

How do I subscribe to specific forums or topics?
    To subscribe to a specific forum, click the “Subscribe forum” link upon entering the forum. To subscribe to a topic, reply to the topic with the subscribe checkbox checked or click the “Subscribe topic” link within the topic itself.

However, I don't find that link inside the forums. Also, I'm not sure I'd want to be notified whenever any post is made in the forums I want to monitor...as forum usage goes up, that would be a lot of notices. I'd prefer to just go to the forums and see which of those I'm interested in has new posts and browse the posts.

Yes. I was asking if there could be a way to hide/unhide the main forum categories or forums within each category instead of just collapse it.

Not a big deal. I know I'm being a PITA here, too.   I just figured it would make it easier for people to get to the topics they are interested in without wading through all topics.

I'll ask Chris, but like I said that functionality was disabled because people complained about it.
