Model Insider was founded in February, 2009 as a site to serve the needs of the Internet modeling and photography community. For the past few years there have been only a handful of sites seriously serving this market and none of them seemed to try to address all of the issues and concerns of the community. Model Insider does things differently. We listen to our users, as we are members of the community, ourselves. We are not owned by a large company with other sites and responsibilities to other markets, nor are we in this simply to be the biggest player. It is our stated mission to provide the very best tools to serve our community while providing a place for social networking and fun at the same time. Model Insider is a site where the enthusiastic hobbyist can learn from the seasoned professional, and everyone in between is welcome. Our goal is to provide a valuable resource to everyone.

POTD Contest Rules

If you participate, Please Vote! You MAY vote even if you did not enter an image!

Do not post images owned by others. You may only enter work you are directly involved in (you must be the model, photographer, MUA/bodypainter, rigger, etc.). Winners may not be entered again unless specifically allowed (for example, a "winner of winner's competition"). If an entry doesn't win please wait 15 days before reentering it. This helps keep things fresh.

THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALL. We do not limit images based on the gender or race of the subjects! We appreciate diversity in the entries. To qualify, you may enter one image per day and vote for one image per day. The system will not allow more than one entry or vote from a single profile. If we find one member entering images from multiple profiles the images will be deleted and that member will be suspended from the contest.

We also do not permit "vote stacking." If we find you requesting votes (via the forums, PMs, announcements, etc), you will be disqualified. Repeat offenses will get you suspended from the contest.

Basic Rules for All POTD Contests:

1- If two of the same image are entered on the same day then second entry will be deleted.

2- It is the image that is held to the 15 day rule not the submitter; all participants are held by the first person that submits the image.

3- An image that is entered cannot be resubmitted for 15 days even after an alteration to that image, I.E. a different crop, a change from color to B&W etc.

4- If an image wins in the contests it can never be resubmitted by either the original submitter or anyone else.

5- If an image wins in the contests it can never be resubmitted with any type of alterations to the image, I.E. a different crop, a change from color to B&W etc.

6- All POTD entries must have a model in the image.

RULES FOR THE 18+ POTD:

This is a nude/mature image contest. Images must be rated 18+/M under the following criteria:

NUDITY

  • For females: Nipples, including areola, showing.
  • Men & women: Pubic area, with or without hair. The area that would normally be covered by bikini-style bottoms. Visible genitals or anus. Bare buttocks. Side views with shadows may be disqualified, the cleft between the buttocks must show. Spread shots (vaginal or anal) are allowed, within the bounds of good taste.
  • Men: Erect penises are allowed.

STRONG SEXUAL SUGGESTION

  • This is a subjective criteria, and very few images will qualify. No hardcore images are permitted, but some images that would otherwise be considered “implied” might be allowed under this category. A woman brandishing a dildo would fall in to this category. Please note, however, that the site's no-insertion policy applies. Here is an example of a winning image from another version of this contest that fits this category: http://www.slephoto.com/webpost/formm/PotD18/gallery_page.htm#PotD_10-19-07

BLOODWORK/GORE

  • Horror images, suicide pics, girls in bathtubs of blood, etc. Blood/gore must be obvious and a major part of the image. A vampire with a tiny spot of blood at the corner of its mouth does not qualify, one tearing out someone's throat does.

Diptych/Triptych

  • Multi-image collages ARE permitted SO LONG AS all the images in the group are clearly part of the same set or series and not disconnected or only vaguely thematically linked.

BONDAGE

  • One (or more) of the people in the image must be visibly bound or restrained. The restraints may be rope, cuffs, a suspension rig, etc.

VIOLENCE TO ONESELF OR ANOTHER

  • Images with implicit violence such as holding a weapon to ones own head or anothers head, holding someone and preparing to hit them, etc.

NOT ALLOWED

  • Penetration. No images of anything penetrating the vagina or anus, including fingers. A hand on a penis or resting on labia are ok, inserting fingers is not. If it's implied but not in any way visible it's allowed.
  • Oral/genital contact. Again, implied is OK (as in the image above) but clear contact is not allowed.
  • Male ejaculation.
  • Any illegal material.

NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE CONTEST

  • Implied nudity where body parts as described above are totally obscured by shadows, hands, etc.
  • Fetish fashion or fetish imagery without another qualifier. A latex dress doesn't count. Someone holding a riding crop, even if acting like they're about to hit someone else, doesn't count. Foot/shoe fetish, or other fetish without another qualifier.
  • Someone simply holding a weapon.
  • G-string shots. Shots of the buttocks with a g-string do not count unless the person is posed in such a way that the anus or genitals are visible.
  • Very loosely implied activity. Someone sticking a hand in to his or her own pants or someone else's pants doesn't cut it.

A special note about body paint

  • Body paint is one of the most subjective "in the eye of the beholder" lines between the two contests.  In general, body paint that doesn't obscure the parts that qualify for 18+ to where they are not distinguishable IS classified as 18+.  For entry in the POTD, the body paint must make those body parts front-page safe.  Judgement will be solely at the discretion of the contest moderators.

These rules may be modified at any time. As separate contests are added these rules may be changed to prevent overlap.

1- If two of the same image are entered on the same day then second entry will be deleted.

2- It is the image that is held to the 15 day rule not the submitter, all participants are held by the first person that submits the image.

3- An image that is entered cannot be resubmitted for 15 days even after an alteration to that image, I.E. a different crop, a change from color to B&W etc…

4- If an image wins in the contests it can never be resubmitted by either the original submitter or anyone else.

5- If an image wins in the contests it can never be resubmitted with any type of alterations to the image, I.E. a different crop, a change from color to B&W etc…

6- All POTD entries must have a model in the image.

7- POTW entries must have at least two entries that contain models.

Team Insider

Team Insider Operational Guidelines

The following guidelines are meant to outline the operational focus for Team Insider, the volunteer group responsible for helping site members and generally guiding the smooth interpersonal operation of Model Insider.

The TI thread in the forum is for recruitment of volunteers only. There will be no announcements posted in this thread for anything except the need for new members. For general banter and announcement of informal TI information, you may use the TI front-end group or create a new thread in the TI or General forum. Information pertaining to TI as an entity should be run past the current TI coordinator to ensure there is no confusion. If there is a need to get in touch with all TI members you can pm/email the members directly.

Please do not post answers to site questions, especially in the Site-Related forum, unless you know the answer is factual. If in doubt, let someone else answer or ask someone directly before posting your answer. Giving an incorrect answer to a new user is worse than no answer at all. If no answer is forthcoming from a TI member in short order, one of the MI developers will surely come along and answer (and then you will know for the next time).

Opinions are welcome and encouraged. One thing to show new members is that even TI members may have differing opinions and keep things civil. Especially when talking about site functionality, discussion and debate is good. Set the example.

From now on all new members must pass the board and have a job waiting, No single TI Member has the authority to add members to our group with the exceptions of Chris, James and Daniel. This is to prevent the TI group from growing huge with people who just want to have a badge next to their name. Part of the goal of Model Insider is to avoid the need for moderators, gatekeepers and other subjective decision-makers. TI members are seen not as moderators, but as helpers with experience and knowledge. Anyone volunteering for TI should have that experience or should want to learn before stepping up to help.

Chat Room Help Rules

The Chat Room Help will be the duty of the TI. It will be a personal touch that MI has that other sites do not. Chat room help is to be, in general, a one on one situation. Try to avoid having more than one person answering questions at a time, as a new user may become confused from multiple sources of information (even if the information is the same!). In times of heavy use, creating more than one help room is perfectly acceptable. As the site grows and evolves, it's our hope that the need for chat room help is diminished, or only necessary for the most complex features.

Team Insider Duties

Once the site starts getting regular chat use, one TI member should always be in the MI chat. This will encourage its use and keep the site on a more friendly and personal level. This can be as easy as keeping a chat window open while you're doing something else. If multiple TI members want to keep chat windows open even when no users are online, that's perfectly acceptable (though keep the nasty banter to a minimum so as to not scare off the newbies).

We will have set hours for the MI Help Room in the chat. This should be manned by people who are knowledgeable of how to navigate the site and they should be keeping themselves updated with things in Site related.

TI members will be in charge of the thread based contests, Keeping them moving and providing the graphics for the voting as well as vote tabulations and informing the winner.

TI members will leave a welcome on newbie’s walls, and comment on pictures they like. Please do not see this as a mandated requirement, however. Be sincere in your comments and do not comment just to leave something. New members should feel welcome, not patronized.

Contest Volunteer Duties

All Team Members meet with each other and compile info for the member of the week. At least one a week.

TI Chief Coordinator

Coordinates promoting contest, validates entrants and images, and compiles composites for voting, guides chief in their duties.

TI Coordinators

Helps Coordinator where needed, tracks new members and distributes the list among directors. Welcomes new members, encourage them to enter contests, comment on pics, and tag pages, and help out the Chief Coordinators wherever needed.
