Do you consider yourself: Pro, Semi Pro, Hobbyist, Amateur, Something Else?
I now consider myself a professional, though at some point was all of the following: amateur, hobbyist, semi-pro. Everyone has to start out somewhere and with all of my hard work, and the hard work of those I've collaborated with over the years, I am proud to think of myself as a professional model!
How did you find Model Insider and what do you like best about it?
I found MI myself through Gooogle actually! I love that MI has an honest feel about it. There are many other online networking sites that have become so overloaded with SPAM, MI does not have that. It is a great community of amazing and talented artists of all kinds!
What is your usual genre? Favorite genre?
My usual genres are Fashion/Editorial, and artistic nudes. I prefer fashion, as I am a clothes horse and love amazing, unique wardrobe! I also enjoy modeling artistic nudes(as well as glamour, lifestyle, fashion, bodyscape nudes) not only because it is a healthy source of income, but modeling nude is honesty in its truest form. You cannot hide behind clothes. I love creating a story filled with emotion with my nudes!
How do you find photographers to work with?
I am a member of Model Insider, Model Mayhem, and several other networking sites, as well as having my own website! I respond to casting calls, I have taken the innitiative to ask photographers personaly to shoot, as well as photographers seeking me out though my online profiles or my website! Over time I have built up a strong network, and word of mouth does amazing things as well!! I book mostly paid work, but DO book several TF or Trade shoots a month to keep my port updated with high quality images!
Do you do your own styling and makeup? Do you work with a preferred MUA?
I have done my own hair and makeup for 90% of my shoots. I am capable of doing my own unique looks, but really prefer professional MUAS/Stylists as their product quality, and techniques are at a much higher lever than my own! It is however, much easier to do my own on most occasions. The more people you are working with, the more chances of having scheduling conflicts, etc.
Where do you see yourself going in the next year, artistically and business wise?
I have some amazing opportunities for publication in known magazines coming up, as well as growing artistically and challenging myself to try new things! I have recently made modeling my main source of income, modeling full time, so my plans are to dedicate myself to growing, and creating amazing and beautiful art!
Do you shoot both in studio and on location and do you have a preference?
I shoot BOTH in studio and location and enjoy them both very much. I prefer location as I am just an outdoorsy person. I loove working with my surroundings, as well as discovering beautiful hidden locations!
Do you travel?
I DO travel. So far I have stuck to traveling in state (Arizona) but am open to traveling to any location state or country for my art!
Anything else you'd like to tell the Model Insiders about yourself?
I love provoking interesting thoughts in people through my art and images. I have a unique sense of posing, and feel it's very natural for me to be in front of a camera!
