Do you consider yourself: Pro, Semi Pro, Hobbyist, Amateur, Something Else?
Really I’m not sure how I’d classify. Probably semi pro. I don’t have an agency but I do work very frequently and make money my work.
How did you find Model Insider and what do you like best about it?
I found Model Insider on another site that compiled all of the accounts on several sites onto one site. It was pretty cool. I wish I remembered what it was! [editor's note: we would guess that's probably our multi-site search engine TFP.me, which lets you find people on all the major model/photographer sites] I quite enjoy the contests. Even though I hardly win, it’s really nice to see what people enter and the winning entries and usually pretty fantastic.
What is your usual genre? Favorite genre?
I do a lot of art modeling. Beyond just pictures, I also have posed for sculpture and charcoal sketching. I would really like to get a little more into Alternative modeling and see what it’s all about. But besides that I really don’t have a favorite genre, I focus on projects on a project-by-project basis and worry more about what I’m doing rather than what genre it is.
How do you find photographers to work with?
They almost always contact me. Either through this site, my facebook page, or another site I’ve signed up with.
Do you do your own styling and makeup? Do you work with a preferred MUA?
I do, in fact, do all of my styling and makeup and often am the one who comes up with the ideas for my artsy-er shoots as well.
Where do you see yourself going in the next year, artistically and business wise?
I plan to continue working in Michigan for now, but I do hope to do some traveling to Tennesse, Chicago and California within the next year if I can find the money to do it. I’d really like to continue to work on my look and carve out a mode stable foundation where I’m at in case I need to return.
Do you shoot both in studio and on location and do you have a preference?
I do shoot both, but if I had to pick, I think location work is a bit more unique and fun. I feel like in studios you get more of the same kind of thing as you always get. People seem to like to set up one or two different kinds of sets and refuse to stray from them.
Do you travel?
For the right compensation, yes.
Anything else you'd like to tell the Model Insiders about yourself?
Hm. I love video games, I love geeky nerdy things, and I love animals. Outside of work and the occasional meetup with friends or a part, those things take up the majority of my life. I’ve been a dog trainer for almost 7 years, and I’ve been playing video games my whole life.
