How did you find Model Insider and what do you like best about it?
A certain site admin *cough - SLE Photography - cough* badgered me into joining. ;) My favorite thing about MI is they let me be really really naked with very little censorship.
What is your usual genre? Favorite genre?
Most of the work I get booked for is art or glamour nudes, however my most favorite to work in is bondage. Unfortunately, bondage can be pretty dangerous, and the bruising keeps me from booking other shoots for several days/weeks, so I don't shoot it as often as I would like to.
How do you find photographers to work with?
The internet! Nearly all of my bookings come from modeling websites, with the occasional friend-of-a-friend recommendation, facebook, email, etc. I either book locally or post travel notices for when I'm on the road.
Do you do your own styling and makeup? Do you work with a preferred MUA?
Sometimes, though I have to admit I'm not terribly good at it (working on it though!) I love working with talented MUAs, but because I typically do fine-art work, makeup and hair isn't usually desired. Where do you see yourself going in the next year, artistically and business wise?
I always try to see myself improving, both artistically and in the business-sense. I'm always trying to make new contacts, improve my portfolio and modeling skills, see new places, do new exciting things.
I'd like to travel more next year, maybe get a few publications, and as always work with more amazing artists.
Do you shoot both in studio and on location and do you have a preference?
I do both. I prefer to be warm, wherever that is. No winter outdoor shoots for me!
I understand the necessity for studios once in a while, however blank backdrops often feel limiting to me. I enjoy being on a location where I can interact with my surroundings better, even if the location is just someone’s blank living room wall...its better than a paper backdrop to me. I have a nasty love affair with abandoned houses or factories, really gorgeous waterfalls and beaches, and interesting bathrooms...I really really love a hot shower wherever I can get one.
Do you travel?
Often. I'll be hitting Chicago, all of Texas, Phoenix, and the entire west coast before the year is out.
